Lecture by Anne-Will Harzing

In today’s research environment, our performance – as researchers and institutions – is constantly being assessed. Citation counts are at the core of many such assessments.

We are pleased and excited to inform you that Anne-Wil Harzing, Professor of International Management at Middlesex University, United Kingdom, will be visiting Bergen in June.

She will present a lecture, entitled “Citation metrics versus peer review”

Time: Wednesday, 22 June, 12:15

Place: Kantine – Institute of Marine Research, Nordnesgaten 50 5005 Bergen

Information about Anne-Wil can be found on her website:

It will be round-table discussion following her talk. The round-table discussion is intended to give the audience more insight into the use of citation metrics to assess, and possibly guide, scholarly activity at the level

of individual researchers, departments, institutions and countries.
